Life At Bahria Town Lahore

Bahria Town is a famous name in Pakistan and Bahria Town in Rawalpindi has gain much positive response from people. On the other hand Bahria Town Lahore has not filled up like Rawalpindi one; so I go there to know what people don’t like in Bahria Town Lahore. I’ve interviewed few people who are living in Bahria Town Lahore for quite some time to know the bad points about it.

When people live somewhere, whether how good it is, people started to know the negative points, and started to hate it. What happened with me, from five to six people to whom I interviewed, not a single one was dissatisfied with life at Bahria Town. What are the reasons? well everyone had two main reasons 1. Electricity load shedding never happened and 2. Security.

Electricity Load Shedding:

This is a really a blessing that you don’t had load shedding. People are trying to do solar energy projects like Eden Solar Homes and many others. They are trying to give electricity load shedding free environment and making much noise about it in their promotions. Bahria Town Lahore is giving this facility and they never said much about it, like this is a basic facility and part of their housing society.

Well I believe this is a really a great service where in whole Lahore electricity is out for 6 hours or more than that; Bahria Town Lahore is free from this electricity tension.

Security:

This is the point which everyone emphasis more than the first one. People living in Bahria Town Lahore says that security is so good in Bahria Town that even you left your house open, no one will enter in the house. If you are going out to any other city for some days. You just call the security and give them the keys. Now Bahria Town security personals will go inside and close the doors, windows for you and keep patrolling there by knowing that no one is in home. So when you came back, let the security know first so they won’t get alert by feeling someone inside the house.

One person over there says that my children play outside house all day and I don’t have any tension about it. Their bicycles are always park outside the home and I don’t have any insecurity about it. If you have any problem with your neighbor, like his dog barks all the night and don’t let you sleep. You don’t need to ask him to do something, you just call the security personals and they will took his dog away.

Security guys keep patrolling all day and night on motorcycles, cars and vegans. They have a very good system of security that everyone living in Bahria Town is so much satisfied.

Other Good Points:

Cleanliness is one of the main point of beauty of Bahria Town. They have imported machinery for keeping the housing society clean. Secondly they keep the lights on for you whether you have one home constructed away from all others.

Negative Points:

People living over there don’t give any specific negative points. When I ask them about the distance of this housing society from city. It would take your much time to go to office, if it is in Lahore. For shopping in Liberty market and Ichra market will also take much time. People reply me that it felt us for four to five months but afterward we’ve become use to with such distance. One lady says that tell me how much time in a month you go out for shopping in Liberty or Ichra. That would be after 15 days or maximum once in a week, so that’s not a problem with such peace of mind.

Conclusion:

Distance can be considered as a negative point because it would take you 15 to 20 minutes to just reach Thokar Niaz Baig from where you’ll go further to specific market. Secondly social interaction would be comparatively less if we compare it with other housing societies in the city. That is because there are less number of houses and people, but some people like this privacy and enjoy to live like this.

When people compare both negative and positive points in their minds, positive points take the lead and people are very much satisfied with this. Most important thing is security for people here, which gives them peace of mind and for this they can bear that little distance of traveling.

Social interaction problem is not remain any more as many people are moving to Bahria Town these years. Person over there told me that one and half year back, there was only 1 house in this row, where you are standing right now. But within this time, look at this row, it is almost filled with houses which shows more and more people have started to live in Bahria Town.
